A word or two from Laurille & Lynne

Olivello is a place of light and airy spaces – a pastoral paradise of reed-fringed waterways, grapevines and lush, rolling green hills. A place of Celebration, where we invite you to celebrate great food, fine wine and good living.

We specialise in wedding celebrations, corporate functions and private parties.

Our Sunday Mediterranean Table is already a legend – an array of all things delicious that takes you back to those memorable holidays!

Our menu is a rustic blend of Cape Comfort© food, enhanced with the tantalising flavours of the Mediterranean. All perfectly complemented by a select range of award winning wines suited to suit all palates and pockets.

At less than an hour’s drive from Cape Town, we are close enough for comfort, but far enough to escape the urban jungle for the spectacular countryside of the Cape Winelands. Bring the children, take a leisurely row around our little lake or enjoy a friendly game of boules.

After a wonderful, but frenetic 10 years at Café Paradiso in the City Bowl, we couldn’t resist the opportunity to put our skills to work in these gentle surroundings. We feel that our “hands on” approach is a great part of our recipe for success. We are friendly and hospitable yet professional. We pride ourselves on the fact that whatever we do is done with care and generosity in our stylish yet comfortable atmosphere.

Laurille Krug is primarily the wine lover, Lynne Aberdeen the food lover and between us we intend creating the ambience that will keep you coming back. Once more we hope to lure you with all that we have to offer. So, next time your thoughts turn to good food, fine wine and joyous celebration - think of Olivello, a total feast for the senses.

Usually open Wednesday to Sunday, 9am to 4pm, for breakfast and long lunch. Functions welcome at any time. Kindly note that if paying by credit card, we accept only Visa and Mastercard.
